Gentle Yoga is designed for students needing to work at a slower pace.  The basic standing and seated postures are taught, helping students develop strength, balance, endurance, and flexibility.    Props (blocks, chairs, straps, blankets) will be incorporated as students are appropriately challenged to work at their capacity.  Class will end with deep relaxation.

Hatha and Flow Asanas( yoga poses) and Pranayama (breathing) are linked together in this basic yet challenging class. We love to define this class as generally as we can so that the teacher has the freedom to accommodate all levels of students in attendance. Come grow your knowledge of yoga and the depth of your practice here.

Foundations of Yoga This class is designed for the brand-new beginner or those with previous yoga experience wishing to refine their understanding of the fundamentals.    Students will build on skills week to week as they develop strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and confidence. Classes will emphasize postural alignment and precision in the basic standing and seated poses and end with final relaxation. Shoulderstand will be introduced.

Hot Yoga classes are the basics plus in a heated room.  You will build strength and stamina as we create warmth in the body through Sun Salutations and more challenging poses. As the body warms it opens and welcomes strengthening and healing. The challenge encourages you to focus on your breath and quiet the mind. Yes, yoga can be a workout and yes, you will "glow"! Bring a towel and a bottle of water.

Beginner's Yoga: Your yoga journey starts here. Leave your fears and feelings of inadequacy outside Stillwater's door and enter an environment of peace as you begin your yoga journey. You will begin to learn basics, terminology and philosophies of yoga as well as yoga breath work and poses.

Chair Yoga is a beneficial practice of yoga for every body, age and range of ability. If you have a difficult time getting up and down off of the floor, then this is the class for you. The chair provides support as your body becomes more flexible, muscles are toned and misalignment is corrected. You will also learn balance and posture as you breath in the stillness.

Spirit Flow and Yin Yoga is an opportunity to receive a well rounded yoga workout that benefits mind, body and soul. As you strengthen and tone your body, your breath and stillness of mind will open your heart and allow peace in. Scripture and prayer are incorporated in this class during meditation. During Yin Yoga classes (every other week) we will come into the fullness of each pose, giving our bodies time to fully open and accept the pose. Each pose offers an opportunity to breath and meditate. Don’t be surprised if you’re sore after this class. Yin yoga is deep into all aspects of the human; mind, spirit and BODY. Come enjoy the last class of the week and kick off your weekend to an amazing start.

Classical Stretch : Essentrics is a full body workout that rapidly changes the shape of your body through a dynamic combination of strengthening and stretching. The technique develops lean, strong and flexible muscles with immediate changes to your posture.
